TraderMatch (“we”, “us”) is a social network that helps traders connect for accountability, networking, mentorship, and dating. Your privacy and the security of your personal information are core to how we build. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you have over it.
Information we collect
- Waitlist: your email address (and name, if you choose to share it) when you join before launch.
- Account & profile: email, display name, age, city, bio, photos, and the trading details you add (markets, style, experience, work situation).
- Preferences: what you’re looking for (networking, dating, mentorship, etc.), discovery settings, and visibility choices.
- Approximate location: if you enable nearby features, a coarse, fuzzed location — never your exact coordinates.
- Usage: activity needed to run matching and keep the service safe (e.g., logins, likes, reports).
How we use it
- To match you with relevant people and power discovery.
- To operate, secure, and improve the service.
- To communicate with you about your account and (only with your sign-up) launch updates.
- To detect abuse, enforce our Terms, and keep the community safe.
How we share it
We do not sell your personal information. Parts of your profile are visible to other members as part of how the service works — you control your visibility in Settings. We use trusted infrastructure providers (database, hosting, email, and payments) that process data on our behalf under contract, and we may disclose information if required by law.
Analytics & advertising
We use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel on our public pages to measure how well our ads work and to reach people likely to be interested in TraderMatch. It uses cookies to record that you visited our site; it never sees your profile, messages, or trading details. You can limit ad tracking via your browser settings or Meta’s ad preferences.
Your choices & controls
- View, edit, or delete your profile information at any time.
- Control who can see you, including invisible browsing and blocking.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Unsubscribe from non-essential emails.
Security
We apply row-level access controls, encryption in transit, least-privilege access to data, and regular security reviews. No system is perfectly secure, but protecting your data is a priority we design around — not an afterthought.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymize your personal data, except where we must retain it to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.
Age requirement
TraderMatch is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to use the service.
